Screw the cubicle

Lydia Lee, the founder of Screw The Cubicle, a company that helps people change careers.

What they needed

Lydia was looking to build her credibility and attract new clients in a crowded market.

What happened

I identified publications, editors and headlines that would be receptive to Lydia’s perspectives, wrote pitches and edited content. Together, we targeted Forbes, HuffingtonPost, The Telegraph and The Globe and Mail.

Results

I helped Lydia with her first ever pitch (to Forbes), which was accepted and published within 48 hours. We then worked on another pitch to The Huffington Post. Bestselling author and entrepreneur Tim Ferriss shared the article on his Facebook and Twitter accounts, earning her article over 2000 likes on Facebook from a single post.

The result? A huge spike in web traffic, email signups and Twitter impressions. She doubled her mailing list and gained over 2,000 impressions on Twitter.
